Are tattoos haram? – Chinese Dragon Tattoo Designs Thigh Women

The above are statements in a number of different Islamic sources:

• “All tattoos in Islamic tradition are as an indication of good deeds and not a threat or a sign of weakness.”

• “There are some that are a sign of the true nature of the beloved people and their divine promise to reward people who do good deeds or protect them.”

• “The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: A woman should not have any of the moustaches, beards, or the signs of the Islamic nation. They are signs of men with them.”

So why are some people in society saying that one is haram, that’s how it is in the Bible?

I say to them: “Why have your scholars changed your belief?” The reason is that in Islam in general, there is no differentiation between women and men. Men are permitted men make their own decisions and be free to dress as they wish.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever seeks for women to be given them as spoils of war, then that is only permissible because of that which is forbidden as well.”

Ibn Katheer said this was an Islamic ruling and it was based on the opinion that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had received from his followers regarding the different kinds of women. He disliked the way that the people of Mecca and Medina had dressed by the way of hajib women and the manner of clothing and behaviour of the women wearing the hijab, so he removed them. That’s why he said that they are forbidden to wear them, because this is the way that the Muslims dress, and they use these kinds of clothes, so they are haram.

In the book Sajdah wal-Moojaaj, which has a chapter about it, the scholar Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar said: “It is a major issue in Islam. One of the major differences is between what is permissible and what is forbidden for people with the exception of those who wear beards. All those have an obligation to cover their beards, as Allaah said: ‘You must cover your hair, your eyebrows, and your nose.'” (And Allaah knows best).

And he said: “You are not obliged to have them covered even if it’s just one of their parts or if they have a scar on them which prevents them from eating and drinking. And if they
