It doesn’t need to be as tall.”
“It’s like the world’s smallest. Just the cab.”
“Are you sure?” I was in awe.
“I’m certain. No need to get that up.”
After all the years of working with wood I was in awe that a truck can’t hold its own. Even the old Ford, the giant truck you see in every single movie, has a huge cab. Yet I could not comprehend the sheer size of what I found!
I was told that this particular truck was built by the “Ricciardo Carrozzini” in 1947. The car was originally built during WWII, and its size was so huge that they did not even bother to fit the seats inside. This was the same car that was said to be used in the scene with the dead-headed soldier.
“I can’t believe that.” I thought.
I decided to go and see the engine room so that I could take more photos of the engine. The car that is now in my car would be able to fit the engine inside if they did a restoration and kept the original details, I thought. The owner told me that he was willing to accept that I may use whatever photos I wanted as long as the pictures were not used for commercial applications.
The engine was a 1.8 litre turbocharged 4 cylinder. The car had a “big-block” engine, so the turbocharger was not built in.
I arrived at the engine room, and I asked a man in the front office about the size of the car, and he said it could be anywhere from 4 to 5 feet long. That was big! All the pictures I took were the front, so I took photos of the engine and then of the rear. I didn’t want to miss anything by not taking photos that were in the right places.
“How long is it?” I asked the man. He pointed at a truck behind me that was just going straight ahead.
I turned around and put the phone down. I decided that I was going to wait outside until the car was inside the car, but I was worried that I would get scolded if the owner asked me to put my phone down. So I went back to the guy and asked if he understood what I wanted to see.
He asked me, “Are you sure you want to see
